Friends of Althorpe Islands Conservation Park are committed to the conservation of the natural and cultural heritage of the Althorpe Islands Conservation Park.

The group of islands with its 92ha main island, are located in Investigator Strait, 4.5 nautical miles south of Cape Spencer, at the southern most point of Yorke Peninsula, South Australia.

Since late 1996, The Friends of Althorpe Islands have been active in caring for the historic infrastructure as well as the environment of the islands.

Access to Althorpe Island is restricted and limited to DEWNR permit holders due to the fragile environment, endangered sea birds and safety issues.
